A Docomomo Technology Seminar on Library Renovations will be take place on September 25 and 26, 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden. Speakers from Sweden, Finland, and Switzerland will present different library renovation projects and recent research studies to exchange knowledge and experience between research and practice.

Presentations will be held at the Skandia Cinema and open for all to join. Topics will cover general architectural, heritage, and renovation issues, but also a broad range of technical and specific aspects related to libraries and renovation, such as lighting, acoustics, colour, and historical construction materials.

As Gunnar Asplund’s Stockholm Public Library is currently closed to the general public and undergoing a major renovation period, tours of the library construction site and the Woodland Cemetry are also organized for a limited number of seminar participants who register in advance.
